Coil Slitting
Coil slitting services are a precision cutting process that segments a master coil of metal into several narrower coils as it passes through a set of slitting knives. This process can adjust the steel coil for weight or width and tailor it to your exact specifications.
Narrow Coil Slitting
Narrow slitting—a precise method of cutting a master metal coil into multiple narrower coils using rotary slitting knives. During this process, the steel coil can be adjusted for weight or width and tailored to your unique specifications. Sharp circular blades (knives) mounted on spacers make precise cuts as the material moves through the machine. Rubber stripper rings support the material during slitting and eject the finished strips afterward, resulting in a mult.
Heavy Gauge Slitting
Heavy Gauge Slitting is a process that involves cutting a master steel coil into narrower coils using rotary slitting knives. This allows for precise product customization to meet specific weight or width requirements, with packaging tailored accordingly.
Multi-Blanking and Cut-to-Length
Multi-blanking and cut-to-length processing services allow you to order metal sheets and blanks with precise thickness and dimensional consistency.
Stretcher Leveling
Achieve flat, stress-free material for your fabrication processes with stretcher leveling. Stretcher leveling stretches material beyond its yield point in all fibers, equalizing internal stresses. This process produces flat material after laser cutting, notching, punching, or shearing operations.
Logistics / Transportation
Harvard Steel provides comprehensive logistics solutions for hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized, and aluminized steel in various gauges and grades. Our services include fabrication to your specifications and delivery options such as short-notice and just-in-time deliveries upon request.
Metallurgical Testing
Evaluate the properties and performance of metals through various methods, such as hardness testing, tensile testing, and microstructural analysis. This ensures the material meets specific standards and requirements for its intended application. It helps in identifying defects, verifying composition, and ensuring overall quality and durability of the steel products.
